We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and team members. Specific steps our Iron & Wood team are taking include:
Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. Our staff are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It’s important for their health and that of our guests.
In addition to training on cleaning and hygiene protocols, team members are also continuing their COVID-19 awareness training as information comes more available.
Our facility uses cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses. We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with attention paid to high-touch items.
Iron & Wood has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, door handles, public bathrooms and provided equipment.
In the spaces where team members work “behind the scenes,” we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances, storage rooms and staff offices
Reminders to our team members to stay home if they feel unwell and to call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1 if they experience fever, cough, sore throat or difficulty breathing.
What To Expect During Your Experience
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every business in 2020. With facilities preparing to open, the challenge is to deliver a high-quality, consistent and enjoyable experience for all customers, while maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors. The provision and consistent use of Protective Personal Equipment (“PPE”) and the maintenance of physical distancing will present challenges, but with proactive action and a strong commitment to certain principles, Iron & Wood strives to be a welcome relief for those who are missing social connection and leisure.
Our staff are here to ensure your safety & the safety of our other guests. If unclear about any aspect of the operation, we encourage you to ask! Please also respect their direction and adhere to company policy.
For sanitary reasons, we will not be offering rental clubs at this time.
All snacks and beverages have been handled with the utmost care.
When entering the space of your reserved room, staff will be wearing a mask.
A plexiglass barrier has been installed at the front desk to prevent droplet transmission during check in and payment.
Hand sanitizer station is available at the front door for customers to use.
During cleaning procedures, staff are to wear gloves. Room rentals buffer has been increased to 15 minutes to allow ample time for sanitization between groups.
What We Ask Of You
Thank you for putting your trust in us to host you & your group. Your wellness and enjoyment is a top priority for us and through that, we have implemented key operational safety standards.
If you have any form of cough or sickness or have been in contact with someone who is sick, do not come to our facility. We do not want you to spread the infection.
Bring your own clean golf balls.
Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your reservation. We buffer 15 minutes between ALL appointments to ensure very limited guest crossover & ample time to clean/sterilize the rooms after use. Should you arrive early, please wait in your vehicle to adhere to these guidelines. You will be able to directly enter your hitting bay upon arrival by doing so.
We insist that bookings are kept to 6 or fewer people. The rooms are big enough to allow for proper distancing & safe social practice with these numbers. If you arrive with more than 6 players, we will be unable to accommodate your reservation.
